On the occasion of International Women’s Day on 8 March, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation awarded 3 women teachers of Samarkand State University of Architecture and Construction for many years of effective work and dedication. Mukaddas Bobokulova, Rector’s Advisor on Women’s Issues of the University, senior lecturers of the departments of ‘Heat and Gas Supply, Ventilation and Service’, ‘Construction Management’, Zebo Kholmurodova and Kyashasgul Suyunova, as well as women’s education from the region were given attention and respect by our state in attracting them to science and raising their cultural level, formation of students’ personality to maturity, their modern spiritual image, morals, morals, culture, women’s science. Adolat Ziyotova, Chairperson of the SamSACU Women’s Advisory Council, actively participated in the workshop and shared her experience.
A training seminar on the topic “Family, family disputes and their prevention, building a strong family” was organized with teachers Bashorat Turdieva, Munira Ortikova and university psychologist Umida Najmieva of the student dean’s office of Samarkand State University of Architecture and Construction named after Mirzo Ulugbek.
The training workshop presented evidence-based information to the students and answered their questions in detail.
On 25 October of the current year, the ‘Parents’ Congress’ was held at Samarkand State University of Architecture and Construction named after Mirzo Ulugbek. The Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work made a speech and gave information about the life and activities of the university to the participants of the interview. During the congress, the parents of a group of talented and active students studying at the university were presented with letters of appreciation by the management and thanked for their child’s exemplary behaviour and upbringing.
After the interview, parents were introduced to the conditions created for students in the university’s student residences and the activities of 5 initiative centres. Officials provided information about the activities of the ‘Incubation Centre’ located in the main building, several centres operating at the centre and the Information and Resource Centre.
In the afternoon, the management, parents and their children participated in a tree planting ceremony in the ‘Teachers’ Garden’ established at the university as part of the “National Green Space Movement”.
On 16 November 2023, tutorss of the Faculty of Construction Guljahon Nurmuhammedova, Makhliyo Akhmedova and Dean’s Advisor on Women’s Issues Shahida Yuzbaeva held events under the motto ‘Girls Needlework’ and ‘Cook girls’ based on the activities of the club ‘Kizlarjon’ in student dormitory No. 2.
In this event, students showed their skills as per the terms and conditions. The contest selected girls’ knowledge and skills in sewing and cookery. The organisers presented diplomas and certificates of honour to the winning girls.
‘Women’s Club’ is established under the Women’s Advisory Council of SamSACU. The club’s activities promote issues such as training female students in professions, manners and family preparation. Club coordinators are elected at the beginning of each academic year and annual work plans are developed.
